ID 500: INTRODUCTION TO CHURCH AND MINISTRY
Module 1
“Connecting With My Story, My Narrative
Journey”
This module begins the historical, vocational, theological, and emotional
investigation of your own personal journey, your family context and your life
direction to this point. Where do you come from? How does your call to ministry
relate to your journey so far? What is your down-deep spirituality really about?
What is your personal theology? What are your strengths, your vulnerable places?
How is the Spirit moving in your human and emotional development, in your
academic growth, in your pastoral formation, in your understanding of spiritual
needs and practices? What do you need from the seminary experience to grow into
what God wants for you...into the fullness of God's intentions for you? How
aware are you of your potentials? Your hurt places? How does your whole
"package" function in ministry? How can you use your relationship with your
advisor to benefit your development? The materials in this module will help you
begin to tell your story like it really is.
