SEMINARIANS & STUDENTS

Candidate Assessment for Ordination
For seminarians (or persons contemplating theological education) that need to assess their readiness for ordained ministry, our staff conducts assessments for candidates seeking ministry standing. Psychological and vocational inventories are used. The assessment programs are typically two consecutive days in duration. A report detailing a candidate's leadership skills, personal temperament and interpersonal style, as well as points of vulnerability is written with the needs of adjudicating bodies and the candidate in mind. Standard fees apply to these two-day programs

Spiritual Direction
Spiritual direction has become a standard part of the formation process for developing ministers. Seminarians may wish for personal reasons to seek spiritual direction or be referred by a supervisor or seminary advisor. Several members of our staff are trained spiritual directors. All arrangements for spiritual direction are made directly with these persons. Their contact data is available through our office and on the Contact page of the website.

Coaching
Our staff can assist seminarians and students to identify specific skills or capacities that need development and then construct a coaching process to broaden knowledge and improve performance. This is sometimes done as a follow up to a Candidate Assessment Program. Coaching involves meeting by appointment, typically with the counselor of record, either in person or by telephone. Fees for coaching will be negotiated.
